Business Development Manager - Client and Agency Sales


Location : Sydney, Australia - Work Type : Full-time

Overview

The Great Australian Survey provides advertisers and market research companies with access to a large, responsive and fast-growing database of Australian Consumers, all of which have provided us with detailed lifestyle and purchasing intention data plus opt-in permission to contact them about products, services and offers that match their profile.

The Great Australian Survey works with more than 100 blue-chip marketing and research houses and is experiencing very rapid growth.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Sydney team.  This role involves selling our products and services directly to clients as well as agencies, list brokers and other 3rd parties.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Selling postal and email data to advertisers, advertising agencies, list brokers and market research companies
  • Identifying, targeting, presenting to, and gaining business from, suitable companies
  • Bringing in new business and clients as well as growing revenue from existing clients

Skills

To be considered, you should have:

  • A proven track record in direct marketing. data and/or Internet sales (essential)
  • Proven track record in selling to agencies, clients and/or market research companies (essential)
  • Demonstrated ability to sell email, postal and telemarketing data 
  • An understanding of the following online sales channels is highly desirable

     - Cost per '000 (CPM)

     - Cost per action (CPA)

     - Affiliate marketing

  • Ability to understand a client's marketing goals and develop and present a clear, professional business proposal that meets or exceeds their exact requirements
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Self-motivated, professional and committed attitude
  • An ability to close business and meet or exceed sales targets

Salary Package

The successful candidate will be offered a base salary c. $50,000 - $60,000, and an open-ended commission structure paid quarterly bringing the whole package to an OTE of $110,000 - $150,000 p.a

Campaign & Customer Services Manager 

Overview

The Great Australian Survey works with more than 50 blue-chip marketing and research houses and is experiencing very rapid growth.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Campaign & Customer Services Manager to join our Sydney team. This role involves preparing and sending campaigns to our member database on behalf of clients, agencies, list brokers and other 3rd parties and being the primary point of contact for our members.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Building, managing and co-ordinating campaigns on behalf of clients
  • Dealing with customer queries, comments and suggestions
  • Working with the sales team to identify and build revenue for existing and new clients

Skills/Attributes

To be considered for this job you should possess the following skills and attributes

  • An ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time
  • An ability to deal professionally and courteously with both clients and customers
  • Bright, outgoing and friendly attitude
  • Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility
  • Previous experience working for an Internet company would be advantageous
  • Previous experience in using Excel and/or Access (or similar database programme) would be advantageous
  • Position would suit recent university graduate

Salary Package

The successful candidate will be offered a base salary c. $35,000, and a profit share incentive with an OTE of c$40,000

Marketing and Campaign Manager

Overview

The Great Australian Survey is one of the leading data providers in Australia for the Direct Marketing and Market Research industries

We are looking for a marketing and campaign manager to help with the dual tasks of recruiting new members into our database and ensuring clients get the best possible results from their campaigns

Duties Responsibilities

  • Ability to identify recruitment channels
  • Ability to identify responsive members
  • Manage and track member recruitment to maximise the value of members and their value to our business
  • Manage and track outgoing campaigns on behalf of clients to ensure the best possible response rates
  • Work with sales teams to maximise response rates to campaigns

Experience

Background in online recruitment, campaign management and/or traffic is essential

Understanding of the following metrics and recruitment channels

  • CPA
  • CPM
  • Co-reg
  • Click-thru rates
  • Open rates

Ability to multi-task

Ability to take ownership of projects

Salary Package

The successful candidate will be offered a base salary plus quarterly bonus equal to c. $45,000 - $60,000 p.a
